I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving break! It is always nice to relax with family and friends.
We have the End Of Pathway Assessments (for CTAE courses) that begin the week of Dec. 3rd – please encourage your children to do their best on these pathway exams.
The semester is winding down and the End of Course Test are only two weeks away, beginning on Dec. 10th… please make sure your students are at school and attentive during the last couple of weeks before the exams begin!
We will begin ‘second chance breakfast’ for students that do not eat breakfast before school and would like to grab a snack between 1st and 2nd block — we will have two carts in the hallway for students to grab a snack.
Our basketball teams both got wins in Berrien County on Tuesday night and the wrestling team competed in Valdosta this week.
*** Students need to start prepping for UGLY CHRISTMAS SWEATER DAY – DECEMBER 5TH – Lunch will be purchased for the winners!!!

We had a great week at BCHS, the competition cheerleading team finished 17th in the state! Way to go Lady Herons!
The girls and boys basketball teams both fell to a talented Glynn Academy team on Thursday night, but both put up valiant efforts!
The wrestling team had a great first outing in Ware County on Saturday and did well!
Our academic vocabulary words will end for this semester and the teachers will begin to focus their extra time on End of Course reviews. Please encourage your students to focus on doing their best in all their classes.
Student attendance is paramount to success in the classroom, please have your student at school on time and that they stay the entire day, unless they are have an emergency or are sick.
Also, a letter went home to all parents about having students eat breakfast and lunch at school. The is vitally important for us to keep free lunch for all students at the high school level.

Friday – Last day before Thanksgiving break
Saturday – basketball at Jeff Davis (TBA)
Tuesday (Nov 20th) – basketball away to Berrien County – Varsity at 6:00
Sorry that I missed last week (that illness was not fun). However, we have had a great few weeks at BCHS. The Lady Heron softball team finished 4th in the state of Georgia (AAA). We had a cross country runner that made the state meet, congrats Sean! The FFA poultry team finished 5th in the nation in the poultry judging contest and Grant Bennett finished 5th individually in the nation. Go Herons.
The Heron football team beat Long County on Friday night! A great win to finish the season. The lady Heron cheer team finished 4th in the region and will compete in the state finals on Nov. 9th in Columbus, GA.
We will host a Veterans Day assembly on Monday morning, Nov 12! We are really excited about hosting this event this year! A huge thanks to Col. Chapman for heading this up!
