Heron Happenings – Oct. 22-27

We had a marvelous homecoming week! So many students participated in the dress up days and the pep rally was amazing! A huge thanks to Coach Tyler for planning the pep rally and to Mr. Gibson for planning the homecoming dance. Both were amazing!

A big congratulations to the softball team for sweeping Crisp County on Wednesday night to advance to the Elite 8 tournament this Thursday in Columbus! Our girls will compete in the state championship tournament for the first time in a handful of years! Go Lady Herons!

Our football team fought hard this week, but came up short! The JV football team tied Pierce County and the middle school team won its first game of the season since my last blog entry.

Report cards went home last Friday, please make sure to keep up to date with your students grades… if you have questions please feel free to contact your students teacher! We are always willing to do what we can to get our kids where they need to be!

Our state champion poultry team will be compete this week at the FFA national convention for the title of national championship. GO Heron FFA!

Our cross country team competes this week at the region championship! Go Herons!

Heron Happenings – Oct. 8-13

We had a great week at BCHS! The students completed their midterms on Wednesday and Thursday and had an off day on Friday. On Wednesday, Oct. 10, we will have Career Day, the following will occur:

9th Graders – YouScience – Aptitude test

10th Graders – PSAT

11th Graders – tours at various businesses around South Georgia

12th Graders – tour of Coastal Georgia College

The softball team played in a hard fought region finals against and came up just short, but will still host a playoff game this week. Come support the ladies on Tuesday at 11:00 AM.

The football team was at Caney Bay on Friday night and suffered a tough loss to Pierce, but are looking forward to a great game next Friday against Tattnall!
