Heron Happenings – Sept. 17-22

We had a great week in the classrooms! The second portion of the first 9 weeks started Monday and our students are working hard. Our vocabulary quizzes have been going really well in the classroom and students are gaining much needed academic vocabulary, which we will certain will help them on End of Course Test, SAT or ACT, and post-graduation!

Please continue to stay on top of your students academics and if you have questions about their classes please email or call their teachers!

Our JV softball team had some big wins this week and is really playing great softball! The Varsity team won all of their games this week and are currently tied for first place in the region! Go LADY HERONS!!! The varsity football and cross country teams were off this week, but had a great week of practice. The JV football played a close game in Jeff Davis. The competition cheer girls finished in 3rd place in their first time on the mat this year!

We had a great Senior Night on Monday with a large attendance — if you were unable to attend we recommend that you view the night on facebook – the video is archived there!

Teen Maze for 9th and 11th graders starts this week and we have an array of community members that will be on campus to help inform our students about a variety of topics. A huge thanks to the Brantley Family Connection for putting this on!
