BCHS – Jan 29-Feb. 3

BCHS has had a great week. The FFA took four students to Duluth, GA for a competition, the basketball ball teams played some hard fought region games, teachers were treated to a breakfast Friday morning by Mrs. Frances Sloan, the wrestling team competed in the region individuals, students were treated to a cyber bullying presentation by Zina Ponsell, and the students voted to change homecoming from Friday night to Saturday night next year.

We have our PBIS celebration on Wednesday of this week which will include a faculty/staff basketball game, and then Feb. 7 we have Twin Day.

We had a great week at BCHS! Students are getting back into the full swing and we are hoping that the cold weather is behind us!!!

The Spring semester is always busy with athletics, clubs activities, honors ceremonies, and preparing for graduation, but I want to encourage all students, parents, faculty, and stakeholders to continue to pray for our students and provide them with positive support throughout the rest of the school year! Everyone can certainly use the positive encouragement!!!

Parents, if you are not currently signed up for PowerSchool parent portal please continue the school ASAP so that we can get you access to your students grades, attendance, and other important information!

I want to encourage all parents to contact the school if we can help you with anything, we are more than happy to help and support you and your children in anyway that we can!

Heron’s this week – Jan 1-19

I decided to take a short break over the Christmas holidays from writing my blog, but now that school is back in full force I will be back at it!

I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year! I hope that everyone was able to enjoy some SNOW!!!!

Students received their report cards on Friday, so if you have any questions please feel free to contact their teachers, counselor, or an administrator… we will be more than happy to answer any questions!

Our basketball and wrestling teams were busy over the break and both fared well during the Christmas period.

Our Spring sports will be in full swing this week, with baseball, soccer (boys and girls), and tennis (boys and girls) out practicing and getting ready for their seasons!
